We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our front-of-house team. As the face of our butcher shop’s retail side, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional service while guiding customers through our selection of high-end meats, specialty foods, and gourmet products. This role is perfect for someone with retail experience who enjoys working with people and appreciates quality food.


Responsibilities:


  • Greet customers and provide knowledgeable assistance with product selection.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and handle cash/credit transactions.
  • Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays of high-end retail products.
  • Educate customers on specialty items, pairings, and preparation suggestions.
  • Support butcher staff by relaying customer requests and preparing orders for pickup.
  • Ensure the retail area is clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating products to ensure freshness.
  • Uphold company standards for customer service and product knowledge.

Qualifications:


  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, ideally in specialty food, grocery, or high-end retail.
  • Previous experience with TOAST POS system preferred
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for food and willingness to learn about premium meats and gourmet products.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

Schedule & Benefits:


  • Part-time position (weekend and weekday/evening availability).
  • Starting Wage $15 per hour.
